This should be on blu-ray

At the risk of talking to myself, The War would make a very good blu-ray release. It seems it arrived a little too early for them to justify a high-def release. Burn's subsequent films got blu-rays (even Prohibition with only three episodes).

There's good reason too. The creators spent a year after filming was done just getting sound effects recorded. The surround track would be devastating in lossless audio. Also, they already have a high-def digital transfer ready since it was broadcast in hd.

Anyway, I just wondered if anybody else thought about this.

At least it's in HD on Netflix, and the audio is quite good. They did do an awesome job on the foley required to match the audio with the visuals.

The War is now on blu-ray, I have a copy.

I know. It's just a shame the audio isn't lossless. Maybe I'll pick it up when the price comes down.

Seriously? This is a documentary, don't exactly need to hear every detail for the series.
