Agree whole-heartedly. This is a rare documentary in that it acknowledges all aspects of the situation. It wouldn't have been the same without the charm and eloquence of Sidney Phillips' big sister.

My source of annoyance was the woman who'd been prisoner in the Philippines. But her contribution was also important.

There were many many people who referred to all military personnel as simply "The Boys" The Brits often called them "The Lads".

Yes technically the vast majority were men if you count 18+ as being a man, but if you look at it from the perspective of how much of their lives they still had to live, or conversely how little bit of life they had already lived, boys is not inaccurate.

If you do a search on Amazon, there are over 250 titles in the category of WW2 that have "boy" in the title.

She made the program almost unwatchable for me. I cringe whenever I hear that ignorant/stupid accent of hers: "Wee wah awwwl soopawtiv of da wahwah".

Good God I couldn't stand her craggy voice. And I'm from the south.

I bet Burns, LEFTIST that he is, had a Cheshire Cat grin on his face when he finally ran across her when deciding which southerner to put on the program; i.e. one with the most over-the-top corn pone, hill billy accent. Make the viewing public think most/all southerners talk that ridiculous. Conversely, use only the most well spoken northerners for the opposite effect; no over-the-top "joisey", "nu yawk" persons.

There was no neurosis and no rant. That snitty remark of yours right there is what proves my point that the LEFT ascribes mental conditions (in this case mental health problems) to anyone who is in conflict with LEFTIST orthodoxy.

Most people are having trouble affording medical care due to gov't interference in/with the health care industry. Obamacare being the worst instance of it. Before the gov't got involved most people could afford it. Gov't causes it to balloon in price.

That says it all????? Whatever does that mean? Only the political LEFT (including RINOs) say things like that. Don't insinuate, say it.

Hildog can only be president the same way her husband became president; by the political Right vote being split to effect the LEFT candidate receiving a plurality and not a majority. Good chance that may happen this fall.

The hope is that Trump will bring more voters to the polls this fall the way he did or has done in the primaries. It remains to be seen if this happens in the general election. It stands to reason that Trump, if he is the opponent of Hildebeast, will not get all the political Right voters that usually show up in a presidential election. Some will not vote for him. He will split, to some degree, the political Right vote.

Trump will have to attract many qualified voters who have sat out many of the previous presidential elections and on top of that they vote for him. All for the purpose of exceeding the Hildog vote count. So, the Dem candidate will get more or less the same amount of vote as in many previous presidential elections. It just remains to be seen what percentage of this contest's vote that comprises.

Lets' hope that many of these qualified voters who haven't come to the polls in previous presidential elections, come out this fall and vote for Trump. And that there are enough of them to exceed the Hildebeast vote. I think it's clear that new voters showing up this time are not going to be for Hildog.

Even if Trump wins the general election, the question remains is/isn't he a RINO underneath. Can't tell that until he gets in office and been there for awhile. What we do know is that the other Repubs are RINOs. We have nothing to lose by going for Trump.

Keep your fingers crossed.

It remains to be seen if the Repub. vote gets split like it did for Hildog's husband Billy Boy. Or better yet, if tons of new voters come out for Trump and give him enough popular vote in States in order to get all the electoral votes of that/those States.

Dream all you want, LEFTIST. No more people are going to be voting for Hildog or Bernie than have voted for past Democrat candidates. There will be NO big turnout (of new/extra voters) for either of those two.

It remains to be seen if Trump can bring new/extra voters to the general election this fall. And if that will be enough to surpass not only the Repubs who vote against Trump (or stay home) but the usual Hildog vote.

Go back and watch more of your news programs (where you so obviously get your opinion) that claim Trump is soooooo unpopular with many American voters.
