Need help with a title of an ozploitation film!!!

Hi,

A friend of mine told me about film they saw on television a few years ago and wanted to know the name of it.

The details they gave me were:

* It was an Australian that looked liked it was made in the late 70's/early 80's.
* The story featured a group of surfers (two guys with surf boards on the top of the car) following an old Holden carring what they thought was body parts.

The first thing I thought of was Roadgames but it wasn't it.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm tempted to say "High Rolling" (1977) starring Timothy Bottoms and Grigor Taylor, but I'm not quite sure. The theme song from this movie was "Magazine Madonna" by Sherbert, who by that time were re-named The Sherbs.

The plot you mentioned is indeed very similar to "Road Games" -- sadly that movie wasn't a box office success and possibly this movie with the surfers and the old Holden may have ripped it off, which would date your movie to the 1980s.
