I can't be the only one who noticed this. There's a scene in the office where Di Caprio is going to explain the scam to someone but then he starts saying his dialogue LOOKING RIGHT AT THE CAMERA. WTF???

This a huge plot hole. Completely took me out of the film. What poor acting. The guy who made this film obviously needs to go back to school.

The scene you described was NOT a goof much less a "huge goof." You're just not smart enough to comprehend the scene.

He's talking to the viewer. It's the same thing in The Big Short. They have to explain it because the average viewer doesn't understand basic finance.
