How exactly did that woman think she was gonna get the money?

So that mother Kate was friends with thought she could go into Vegas with 2 other women and get the money for her kids? how exactly did she think she was getting in the safe? And how did she think she was gonna have a chance in hell of making it out alive with no experienced soldiers escorting her?

Batista had to get an entire team together all experienced and a safe cracker and a pilot, yet this bitch thought she could sneak into the city with two other women and get the money and get out? It made no sense, how was she even gonna pack the money? That whole plotline made no sense and was just a device used to get Batista's daughter to have an excuse to tag along.

reply

She was gonna escape through a plot hole and a quick script tweak.

reply

Actually... they did explain that she was going to hit the slot machines and steal whatever money they could from there and attempt to get out.

It was still stupid but whatever.

reply

So she knows how to pour gas in the generator for the slot machines?

reply

lol... probably not.

That's what made it such a stupid plot point.

reply

If you were going to go into open a safe why would you even bother with a safe cracker when you know the building is going to be nuked. You could have more easily just blown the thing open it wasn't as if the police were going to show up and arrest anyone.

reply

A blast powerful enough to break That safe would also destroy the contents.
You could arguably get a demolition expert or whatever for precision blasts. but then you may as well go with the stealthier approach; the safe cracker.

reply

If you were blowing up a small safe then you would be right... but when it is a huge vault like they are dealing with you could easily use shaped charges to knock off the door and hinges without destroying all the money. Frankly I'm baffled that in Vegas they wouldn't be going after easier targets beyond money, like diamonds, gold and shit like that which would have also been left behind and would be much easier to get than 2 tons of money

reply

Definitely not defending the plot of this stupid movie, nor the insane idea of willingly going into a zombie infested city without better motivation than money. but I'm guessing that since its been a while, all the obvious spots to get valuables like diamonds have been picked clean and while there's probably still plenty left, it would require searching a scavenging which takes time.

reply

It was hard to tell what would have been left. I would have thought if a place willing to leave 200 million in cash behind that they zombie attack happened so quickly that no one had time to take anything out of the city. But it is hard to tell in a movie like this that didn't seem to try and make any sense. As someone already pointed out 200 million would weight more than 2 tons. How the hell did they think they would have gotten that amount of money out on a Helicopter that wasn't capable of carrying that amount of weight along with a pilot let alone any of the other people.

It was mentioned the Coyote brings people into Vegas to steal money from slot machines.

reply

Even so they still had no trained killers going with her to kill zombie's if they spotted them, at the end they all appeared to be helpless.

reply

That Coyote was a real piece of work. Bringing unarmed people into a zombie infested city so they could try and get a few $ out of slot machines? She might have well as shot them in the head on the spot. That's certain death.

reply

Shooting them in the head would be a kindness compared to what she was doing. I'd rather that than be shot in the leg and sacrificed to the zombie horde for turning!

reply

She seemed oddly self-righteous for someone in her line of work

I guess because SOME people made it out alive, she felt she was justified in just letting them take their chances

It's Vegas after all
