Ghosts of Mars

Thats this movie. It's ghosts of mars with characters which are just as bland, a similar villain, and the same ending.

Skip it.

Lol!!!

Zeuse is played by the same actor who played Big Daddy Mars on Ghosts of Mars!

FFS that's rich!

reply

Really? Well yeah they're basically the same movie but I hated this movie way worse. Not that it says much about Ghost of Mars, but at least it had Jason Statham in it.

reply

And Natash Henstridge. She's entertaining.

reply

Hell yeah. We watched ‘The Whole Nine Yards’ last night—she was a highlight of the film.

Which character was Zeus in the movie?

The Alpha Zombie

They are listed as two different characters on IMDb.

The Alpha zombie definitely wasn't 60y.o.

This guy was the alpha: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3016683/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t66p

Mark Kermode said it similar to Escape from NY/LA and also like a remake of Aliens with zombies

I definitely got a "Ghost of Mars" vibe while watching this too. It also reminded me of Neil Marshall's "Doomsday". Which itself was inspired by John Carpenter's "Escape from NY".

reply

I can see that.

Yeah, the whole film rips off Ghosts of Mars, Escape from NY/LA and especially Aliens: red bandana (a la Vasquez) on a latina soldier chick, grenade scenes, “company baddie” after a creature sample, baddie misleading or locking in someone to die, missing helicopter turning back, hero in search of his/her daughter/surrogate daughter during the denouement…just to name a few, granted many of the film’s ideas and scenes are just generic and clichéd.
