shareIt's called "Heartbeats". I believe it's a cover of a Jose Gonzalez song. Well, I heard it first by him. Anyway, check it out on Youtube. His version is much more downbeat and soft but still euphoric.
shareActually it's the other way around. Gonzo covered it with characteristic aplomb and it's originally by a Swedish band called The Knife. I think it was on their self-titled debut album of c. 2001.
shareIt's a remix of "Heartbeats", off the Knife's second album "Deep Cuts". Their first self titled debut was a while before that and it didn't take off even after the fuzz over "Silent Shout" was in full swing.
The soundtrack here in general was pretty bloody good, and i guess that has a lot to do with the funding for the film coming from a subsidiary of Warp records. What was pleasantly surprising was the fact it didn't turn out to simply be a Warp showcase, which could have easily been the case. I did expect some Aphex Twin lurking around somewhere....
"Think of all this production value! With BALLS on it!"
Thanks for the clarification. Let me add that Deep Cuts was released in 2003. Also thanks for the Warp info. which I had no idea about.
