The character of Josh

I wasn't sure what to make of this character. Was he supposed to have some kind of learning difficulty or was he just a bit socially inept? It seemed as though at the beginning he was sort of being "looked after" by those on the boat, especially his brother. Also it seemed to me that this "difficulty", whatever it may be, was exploited by Bluey during the donkey punch story and the sex scene in which Josh is largely excluded until Bluey swaps him in, after which the punch takes place. Thoughts?

It definitely seemed he was only there through his brother, and he didn't seem to share much chemistry or rapport with anyone else. I'd have said he was simply shy and lacking social skills in stark contrast to the others.

Josh is the youngest of the group, it seems, and inexperienced with girls. But he is also very smart, a law student. I don't think he has a learning disability. He is just shy and awkward.
