Naruto, and Naruto Shippûden (unlike the manga that is only Naruto) are two different TV shows. Just like Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z (same manga, two different shows).

It may be "two different TV shows" in US, but it is the same TV show in its origin country. "Shippuuden" is only a subheading to the new phase. Get you facts right.
shareI have NO idea about how this or any other anime show is broadcasted in USA, but in Japan, there are TWO shows:
Naruto (NARUTO -ナルト-) with 220 episodes and Naruto Shippûden (NARUTO -ナルト-), ongoing.
Did you watched the same show as I did?
The MANGA is only one (same as Dragon Ball), but the animation are 2. How hard is to realize it watching TV Tokyo???

It is not about if we wanted or not, IMDb just won't do it. It like, asking for a merge between "Heroes" and "Heroes: Reborn". Not the same series.
And you guys should know that japanese animation is NOT broadcasted in "seasons" like western shows.
