Come on Kishi. I for one care more about Hinata than Sakura. I mean I loved seeing Sai guilt trip her for making Naruto feel bad. That was great. But come on Hinata sacrifices her own life to save him and finally tells him she loves him and what does she get...nothing.

Yeah...Sai went up 100 points in my book for FINALLY stating the obvious to Sakura. I'm still hoping Naruto gets a few panels with Hinata, even if most of it is just awkward "ums" and "uhs". I know they have a lot of story to get to in a just a few pages, but mentioning it once again would be appreciated.

I was actually hopeful for this pairing during the anime filler arc episodes when
Naruto accidently stumbled upon Hinata's training exercise in the nuddy, and later when he realised how cool her new jutsu was.
It's obvious that he does like her as an individual and respects her growth as a ninja even if he does tend to take her granted sometimes. Plus all their friends are aware/ sympathetic about her feelings.
I hope the whole love triangle gets resolved quickly!

Maybe he has forgotten Hinata’s confession. After all, he does not have any memories of his actions in kyuubi-mode, so it is possible he has forgotten what triggered it as well.
Also, Naruto has a lot on his mind right now: Pain destroyed the village, he met Yondaime, Tsunade is in coma, Danzo has taken over and Sasuke still needs to be rescued from himself so… We can’t really blame Naruto right now. I think the love-thing will be settled in the end because love isn’t the most important thing in Shonen-manga. Kishi also tends to keep us waiting. I think he likes to torture us that way:)

I thought her sacrifice was really moving when it happened, but now when I think about how it was handled, it just pisses me off. Not only because of everyone just forgetting it ever happened, but it makes it seem like nothing but a stupid manipulation to get a climax out of Naruto. Kishimoto ripping off Toriyama yet again (krylin dying so that goku could turn super saiyen)
To be honest, a lot of the writing in this shippudden saga hasn't been thought through very well.

I'm not even a hater but it just proves that she's daft by putting up with all of Sasuke's traitorous ways. How can anyone be in that much denial?!
getting back on topic though lol. I agree there's a lot going on in Konoha right now and kishi doesn't have time to acknowledge side story lines but seriously? He has time for multiple panel stupidly but NOT EVEN ONE LINE acknowledging her sacrifice?! it feels like it's been a long time since her confession and not even a line of acknowledgment?!

I do too, and even though I like Sakura, I can't help but feel for Hinata.
It's not fair that we didn't see much of her since her confession to Naruto (in Chapter 437). Espesially since it was HINATA who saved Naruto's nine-tailed @$$ from being shishkabobbed by Pain!

Sakura actually cares for everybody(and proved this too) and actually strives to better herself and gets bashed for hitting naruto for acting like an idiot.
Sakura has never been useless, people just think that because you can't blow up a mountain it means your useless.
Naruto hasn't won 1 battle by himself, yet no one complains
Hinata hasn't even won one fight in the manga, despite being in a higher branch of the hyuuga than neji.

^ You know, in retrospect, you're actually right in some ways. Hinata didn't really become more powerful until after Pain's invasion, while Sakura improved more (as a ninja and a character) since the beginning of Part II.
Now, my only problem with Hinata as a character, is her dependance on Naruto. I don't mind her having romantic feelings for him, but 99% of her decisions are based SOLELY on Naruto, and I find that a little annoying.
