So... when are we getting back to the current story? ***Spoilers***

Is it just me or has this been the biggest gap between legit story arcs so far? Between Pain's story arc and Danzo's arc, there was a sizeable amount of fillers, but this is, has been going on for nearly 5 months (maybe more).

There was the Tenten 2-parter story that crossed over with the characters of Road to Ninja. And then there was this bizarre Inception-style Jiraya Scroll which is an alternate ubber-quick retelling of Naruto's major story-arcs (Sasuke Retrieval Mission, Pain's attack on Konoha, showdown with villain with Sasori instead of Obito as the big baddy and for whatever reason Sasuke vs Naruto which is the final manga story arc) and now a dragged out Itachi origin story.

When are getting back to Naruto and crew finding a way to overcome the Infinite Tsyukiyomi, beat Madara and engage Kaguya?
Is it possible that we might get some new non-filler episodes starting in May?

May 5th- "The Incipent"

Since incipent means 'beginning to exist' that could signify what this future episode is about...

A few months ago I read a post that said there will be filler episodes until October. I don't remember what site I saw it on, but I hope it's wrong.

Well, the fillers have ended, as you-know-who makes an appearance in the 2nd part of today's episode. And I just found out "The Incipent" is also the title of the manga chapter on the same situation. Things look okay...unless we are going to get a 10-20-episode filler storyline about the Brothers Otsutsuki and their Big Momma...

Sadly, it seems that we are getting some extra filler episodes.
Kaguya is gonna explain her backstory to Sasuke and Naruto. God Help Us All!

Good. For once the Anime is doing Fillers the majority of us fans want to see. The Studio forced Kish to rush his manga and avoid giving Kaguya some much needed backstory. This is good. And if the rumours are true that the Anime will end on Episode 480 then these fillers aren't going to last long. Probably 5 to 6 Episodes.

Love breeds sacrifice, which breeds hatred. Then you can know pain - Pain

It's back to the main story again this week.

The studio forced Kish to finish the manga? Hahaha that is beyond laughable. Kish sinply wanted to finish this overlong story and get on with his life, the studio is the one that wept because their precious cash cow was finally coming to an end. As far as the story is concerned these fillers are what they are, fillers. Fillers right in the most important scenes in the whole show are pretty *beep* thing to do for the hardcore fans, it's a damn shame that such a great srory can be tainted by greed.

I know. I fear that once we get to the final Naruto/Sasuke battle we're going to get a few episodes recap of their relationship like they did before the war began.
It's irritating because I wouldn't mind a long list of necessary filler episodes happening AFTER the war ends, like Kakashi becoming Hokage, Naruto getting his new arm, a tribute to Neji as his comrades remember him at his funeral, Yamato dealing with his trauma in causing so much death, some foreshadowing to THE LAST, etc.. Unfortunately, I get the feeling once Sasuke makes his goodbye to Naruto with the scratched head-protectorthe series will instantly go to the 'Years later' epilogue. 'We gave so much filler during the series we have nothing left for the time skip!'
Oh well, I guess once this is all over, the viewers will inform future viewers what episodes to skip and it will be easier for them.

One hopes that someday, Studio Pierrot will release a Dragon Ball Kai-esque version of Naruto. A Stripped down, filler-free version of Naruto Shippuden.

reply

Yes that will be awesome.

That's good news. Fillers are tiring.
