This could have been great

The Director sucked. I am right now 2/3rds into this flick watching a Blu-ray. Somehow this movie eluded me in 2009, and I bought it on a whim today. I love the idea, but the editing, and continuity are atrocious. Just plain God Awful.

There was a great movie here, but this director was completely out to lunch. I should be glued to the HD Big Screen, and instead, I'm here venting.

The edits are so bad, I've actually cracked up a few times.

I'd like to see this re-made by a director with some talent. I feel sorry for Willis, because you can see by his performance, he is getting no direction or inspiration from his director. Good cast, good cinematography, no Captain.

Well, I guess I'll try and finish this mess.

*Part Deux:

I will admit that the last 1/3 of the movie was better executed than the first 2/3, but the ending was abrupt and unsatisfying. I guess the producers thought there would be a sequel, and instead, it was a box office disaster.

Too bad, done right, this could have been an ongoing franchise.
