I don't get this show, here's why...

Some aspects are probably scripted or suggested . Many love the conflict and yelling on the show. If everyone was nice to one another it wouldn't be as interesting.

Some of the owners or staff are probably that thick though. After all they did manage to sink their own place.

The disgusting pantry or Fridges etc. have to be real tho. All that rot and Bugs. *shudders* grosses me out.

Oh Fox ups it big time and looks for the arguing, etc.

And then other owners are probably just arrogant morons.

Gordon is also pretty rough with some of them, saying the food tastes terrible, calling them names, etc. Some people probably don't take that well or are embarrassed so they fight back.

The UK version is much more calmer.

It's not always the owners. It could be the employees or a family member. In the case of the Kingston Cafe the owner's son called because he thought his mother would listen to Gordon. Instead she resented the fact that her son called Gordon and told Gordon he had a lot of nerve coming into her restaurant criticizing food he knew absolutely nothing about.

BS "reality".

They act out fake anger so they could get their free renovations. THEY are the ones who called Ramsay and the show, so why would they yell at him??? Exactly. All fake.
