Wisecracks and Quips of Spidey

Spidey had some Great Wisecracks and Quips on this show and he was hilarious!!! I was rewatching the Raimi Spider-Man movies on FX when it was the marathon and I realized where was Spidey's wise-cracking at??? And what puzzled me most was Raimi was the guy who made Ash from Evil Dead, Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness and the character was a Wise Cracker as well.

This is not to bash on Raimi or the movies of his but Why was it he ignored this awesome aspect of Spider-Man's character???

I've just been re-playing the Spider-Man 2 game (still arguably the best Spider-Man videogame ever made) recently, which also had Tobey Maguire doing Spider-Man/Peter Parker's voice. They wrote him more like in the comics, though, complete with wise-cracking, and Maguire's delivery was absolutely terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if the initial script for Spider-Man had the wise-cracks included, but they cut them out when it became clear that their actor was completely unable to sell them.

I agree the quipping was the main thing lacking from the live-action movies. Josh Keaton and Christopher Daniel Barnes both nailed the wise-cracking Spidey in their animated shows. Tobey had fewer quips and his delivery wasn't as great...
