So glad to see it flopping

There is a God after all.

Man, this God needs to stop lazing around in movie theaters and start paying attention to more significant issues like, say, literally *anything else* going on right now. Just saying. If you have any pull with this cinema-lounging Supreme Being, Metatron, I'd be personally grateful if you'd plant the suggestion that humans could use a little help in areas *outside* the theater.

And I hate that this film's lousy box office is disappointing people who put in months of hard work. Have you ever looked at all the names that scroll by during the credits? Have you ever been part of a big team project that went disastrously wrong? If you've been lucky enough that every boss you've ever worked under made wise, reasonable decisions, then your cinema-obsessed God has been kinder to you than to most.

I think Warner Brothers deserved to lose money on JL for multiple heinous acts, but everyone else involved did not deserve this. Even the fans. I realize the image of the average DC movie lover has suffered a bit due to teens trolling movie boards and spewing out gloating word-vomit in between chest thumps and text-based fanboy high-fives, but those little idiots aren't the majority of DC film fans. Their particularly spectacular strain of mental illness just makes them loud and froth-mouthed and hard to ignore. Yet you can. Tap Ignore some time. You'll be glad you did.

But please reconsider the other Glad thing, Metatron. Being glad about a film flopping is akin to being glad a cruise ship sank because a few of the people on board really sucked. Everyone who actually worked on this movie--and didn't solely dictate from a board room--cared and hoped and tried. It didn't work out. And evidence suggests this was caused primarily by the malignant human-shaped piles of crusty feces that presently make decisions at WB. If there were any real justice, they would be the ones suffering.

why?

i have no skin in the game, so why would someone be glad about such thing?

i can name a few reasons:

1 - it's fun watchng the most vocal and abnoxious fanboys eating crow after years of relentless internet bullying and trolling on how the DCEU is, like, the best thing, like, evah, and you are a "marveltard" lulz111111111, cuz you like "kiddy movies" with "kiddy humor for kiddies" lulz1111111, and the DCEU is "serious" and "mature" and "deep" and "philosophical" and "for grownups".

2 - it's fun to see a company who treats the viewers as idiots with their subpar movies getting their ass kicked; and hopefully they'll simply disapear along with said subpar movies and subpar approach.

3 - it's fun to see said company crumble under the weight of their pseudo-intellectualism and "standing ovation" pretentiousness when all they want is a piece of the MCU's pie; seeing them resorting to beg the MCU's directors for salvation and even making their own actors [under their contracts, I might add] "suggest" an MCU and DCEU cross-over.... because the desperation is real.

4 - Because a "flavor of the week" beats the crap out of yet another bore fest.

I can name quite a few more, if you'd like me to.

it's not even flopping, it's under performing...if THAT. Bladerunner was a flop....unfortunately.

by all measures this movie is a flop. Not just a "flop" but a humilliating flop. The kind of floppyness that becomes legendary and will result in many memes to come.
