I can't believe i just said that. I think Uwe Boll has found something he can actually film. From the trailer it looked like he had eliminated his terrible action sequences. Who else thinks it may be an ok film?

I'm kinda split. The trailer gave me the impression that this could be pretty generic, but perhaps a surprise can happened. Boll hasn't had the best of track records though.

I agree. The bayonet struck me as rather tasteless, all geek show shock value. And the dialogue in the trailer sounds wooden. But, as much as I hate the idea of patronizing an Uwe Boll picture, casting Michael Pare as a sergeant in Vietnam is not a bad idea. We know it won't be "Platoon", but let's hope it won't be "Platoon Leader".

shareActually Pare's character is a busted down lieutenant, not a sergeant as IMDB has listed. While I know that a lot of people hate Boll, this is actually his best film.

shareYes, Pare has a fairly sizeable role in this. There's also a boxing match between the FNG and Pare where he gets his tail waxed by Pare. It shows what a tortured soul Pare's character is and he does a great job in this.

shareTunnel Rats looks pretty generic, but it looks a helluva lot better than Boll's previous movies. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it.

Miricleworker22; "judge not, least ye be judged." Boll did a good job with this, except for the ending. SPOILER: the audience cheered for the black soldier when he finally makes it out of the tunnel after all the garbage he goes through. Cheering at a Boll screening? None of these people were friends of Boll's either so the deck wasn't stacked in his favor. Maybe its a fluke on his part, but its better than anything he's ever done.

shareJudging from the trailer, it looks as though Boll seems to be channeling some Apocalypse Now or Platoon into this movie. I bet you that the critics will go after this, like they did with his In the Lame of the King, where critics attacked Boll for stealing from Peter Jackson.
Also, I noticed that there not much tunnel scenes in the trailer... Misleading title?
