I dont know about you people, but im looking forward to this Boll project. The synopsis looks pretty interesting, plus Michael Pare in the leading role!
I hope Boll does everything right this time, and this movie will actually be good. And i wanna see Michael Pare kick some a$$ in the tunnels!

I like most of his work, but I understand why people dislike the adaptations.
But since this is a film on its own, people will watch it being less prejudiced.

Actually, Boll made several non-video game films before House of the Dead and they all sucked as bad as his adaptations. The Boll film I'm actually looking forward to (sorta) is Postal, which from what I've heard, is actually tolerable.

I'm curious to see what he's going to do with Postal, but I think I'll wait until I can rent it. No way in hell am I going to blow any money in the theater on his films. I was stupid and bought HotD before hearing anything about it, and since then that man's films have been placed in my "never buy from" category, which so far holds him and Ulli Lommel...Let's hope he didn't screw Postal up too bad...

I agree, give Boll a chance. Postal was actually not that bad of a movie. Maybe hes finally getting it now. I cant understand why people hate him to such a high extent, hes not a great filmmaker but if you dont like his movies, dont watch them.

Michael Pare is in every Boll movie. I feel horrible for him. It really isn't making them better.

"1968: TUNNEL RATS", which will be the final title, is by far the best movie Uwe Boll ever made, together with HEART OF AMERICA.
TR is a interesting tale about an aspect of the vietnam-war you never saw much before.
the scenes in the dark tunnels are quite claustrophobic and some scenes of the fighting in (!) and above the tunnels are very brutal and explicit.
and the end is nothing more than uncompromising and grim.
forget his lousy adaptations of stupid games, this is a completely new Uwe Boll!

shareBTW, a movie, similar to "Tunnel Rats" has been made already, back in 1988 entitled ""Battle Rats", also about a squad of soldiers that go into the tunnels to hunt down and kill vietcongs. This might be a ripoff, but still, after seeing the trailer for "Tunnel Rats" (which was very good), i suppose the movie will be even better.
