This is stupid, if you don't like his movies then don't watch. So many people hate his movies just because other people hate them, I bet most people haven't even taken the time to watch his films because if they have the would notice how enjoyable they are to watch. And the same people who hate Uwe Boll movies are the same people who go to theatres and make Step It Up 2 number one for box office that week.

I must agree with you, i came to imdb today cause i saw something on IGN.com that says Uwe Boll strikes again, can he be that bad to where his highest rated movie on imdb is 4.7? whatever i have never seen any of his films but i'd rather watch House of the Dead or Bloodrayne than a crappy dance move like step up 2.

I just watched "In the Name of the King" and it was easily one of the worst movies I have and ever will see. Honestly, I think he might be mentally challenged after watching that movie. I think you might be also for defending him.

Nono, TwoSlowJoe, I hate his movies because they are terrible. I can enjoy a bad movie, but his sink so far below anyone's sense of taste, talent or storytelling ability that they not only offend the artistic community, they're boring, rendering them not even enjoyably bad. You can defend your masochism till you go blue in the face, but don't try to tell me why I hate this individual.

The money that goes into his movies could have gone to better directors with better projects who struggle to get their own work made. That is offensive to the film community.

Don't get me wrong... 95% of his movies are pure garbage; I agree. I won't pay to see his movies, but I ask you now: why there are no such directors with better projects to attract investors, like those you mentioned ? Why there are so many excellent video games that can be transformed in excellent movies and there's no one to try except Uwe Boll ? He really IS ruining those movies, but I see no other directors making movies after video games and that's very bad.

Uwe's problem is not only his ham-fisted approach to making movies, its also a question of getting the best scripts for the job as well as actors doing the right thing. But directing is a crucial part of the movie production. I can take an example:

Mutant Chronicles included Ron Pearlman and a few other actors in the higher leagues (not the highest mind you) with a quite crappy script based on a boardgame and its RPG spinoff. Now, this is not the best starting point to make a film, but the directing was way better than expected.

With Uwe Boll (which I mostly pity - I don't hate the guy) he is tied down by his own inability to produce any form of quality which means he is served bad scripts and bad actors to make a few bucks for the company. everyone knows he will make a badly directed movie, but as long as the income are higher than the costs he is allowed to go on since money rules. That's the really sad part. Uwe will never be another Peter Jackson or Steven Spielberg and he will never direct even boneheads like Steven Seagal.

And I already signed the petition to make him stop making movies since I like video games and think they should be treated with more respect...

You want to see pathetic, check a mirror. The movie has been screened several times and has been available as a torrent on several sites for a while now. Inform yourself before coming to conclusions.

I saw the movie, had never even heard of Uwe Boll till I saw this steaming pile. A blip of time I'll never waste again on a Uwe Boll production. This guy makes Ed Wood look like John Ford.

The part with "it will be released next year" was a manner of speaking. Was figurative because more than 80% of the voters didn't even see the movie, but they voted. In the future, don't try to look smart again.. 'cause you really are pathetic. Especially when you say that you've never heard of Uwe Boll till you saw this movie. Where you born yesterday ? Was this the first movie you've watched since you were born ? That was the poorest excuse I've heard in a long time for not seeing a movie and still voting for it. You're quite painful !
The movie, itself, really is a garbage, but it doesn't mean people should give it a bad vote without seeing it, just because is directed by Uwe Boll.

why would I want Uwe Boll to stop making movies? Postal was awesome, Bloodrayne was entertaining and I'm looking forward to Tunnel rats. I was also one of the few that went to the theatre to see In the Name of the King which had it's moments

this is tarded, i just watched tunnel rats and it rocks! very glad no one stopped him, shame someone is actually trying to. not sure what he did, i've never heard him speak, but this movie is very well done imo.

This movie really is well done, because it shows the enemies are human and have emotions, too, Most Hollywood movies fail or refuse to do this and portrait enemies of America as mere monsters.

Boll might have made some bad movies (House of Dead really is unforgivable!) but he has redeemed himself with Postal, Seed and Tunnel Rats. I also enjoyed Blood Rayne although it has nothing to do with the game. People here should grow up and give Boll a chance, just voting 1 for everything he makes really gets old.

I think there is no point in stopping him from making movies, because his movies are much better than many others (like Uli Lommel's movies for example).

Once again, a good example of the stupidity of internet bashers who obviously don't know what to do with their spare time...
I still don't get what is the problem with Uwe Boll. Is that because he makes bad adaptations out of bad games?
The 'Alone in the dark' series (except the first one which is a masterpiece), Dungeon Siege, House of the dead & Bloodrayne are just a bunch of sub-average games which nobody will remember in a few years (Postal was funny, and so is the movie).
Seeing how dishonest people could be (rating movies they didnt even see) just makes me want to defend the guy (who is quite funny and aware of what he does judging from his interviews).

If you knew anything at all about films. you might realise that Boll is actually turning into a very good film maker. I guess it's true what they say - with practice makes perfect; if at first you don't succeed...
I read one critic's review (four stars) who noted that had Boll made this film earlier in his career, he would now be regarded as a German Oliver Stone.

Your campaign is backfiring, and you cannot see the irony. I would probably never have even watched a Boll film had my attentions not been drawn to this man's unpopularity. Why do they hate him? Is he really that bad?

Guess what - he wasn't that bad at all, infact, I thought he was very good. There are millions just like me - and there will be millions more.

Keep the petition going - you are doing Mr Boll a great service in providing him a publicity, that no amount of money could ever buy.

Most of his movies are *beep* even if he has made one or two that are sub-par (highest rating.. 4.7?). However, many of the "Boll bashers" aren't bashing him for fun, but because he makes movies for his own profit, and not for the public. Germany movie corps have a thing that pay the director just to make a movie, regardless of it's rating or if it makes a profit. He makes *beep* movies on PURPOSE (look and you will see all of his movies are labeled as "German") so he can make a buck. And sadly, he will take video games many of us love and use then uses these "potentially good" plots to make his quick buck. Sure, even if he is getting better, it's still all for his own profit and not for the movie goers. This is just so many of you who don't know "why" people bash Boll do so.

because the petition worked before it'll work again. This is about as realistic as a chain letter.

When did he ever say he will stop making movies with one million signatures from a bunch of idiots that think he is the worst director of all time? He's better than Michael Bay and I don't see a Bay petition anywhere.

I'd rather look at Dave Foley's dong again than watch two minutes of Pearl Harbor.
