EXCELLENT FILM A must see movie

fantastic film , i am at a loss to explain why it has had bad reviews its a very refreshing movie to watch.
takes me back to when films could surprise you with there plots and twists.
from withes to underground zomies.
i was not expecting so much from a movie.
compare it with the marvel/dc one story one plot fits all movies like batman and spiderman.
no originality whats so ever.

i loved this movie and my friends did not bother watching it because of the reviews , once convinced they all own a copy of it.

a masterpiece in story telling and i truly hope it has a sequel.

Personally, I found the movie to be of great potential - Unresolved potential. It executed a lot of key elements very well, and the bleak outlook was a welcome and refreshing one. Add to that a vast and indulging story, decent CGI and terrific make-up. But, I could not overlook the terribly cheesy dialogue, and in combination with some, in my opinion, equally cheesy acting, this movie ended up leaving an unremarkable impression on me. I don't recall seeing Purefoy in any other roles and after this I will probably avoid it if I can. I don't know if he is indeed a limited actor, or if he just suffered from the director apparently screaming "Let's take that again, and this time I want to see more Hugh Jackman!" but he did not convince me <- I know a lot will disagree, but sods to them!

Purefoy was Marc Anthony in Rome, one of the greatest television shows in recent years. He is a very good actor with an excellent resume.

Ummm... 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. A very respectable score for this kind of movie.

Well if you care to read the review score on this very board you will see a score of 6.1 out almost 29000 users.

Not a great or good score by any means.

If you can reply without swearing then I will be happy to engage your argument.

79% of the professional reviews (not the sheeple) gave Solomon Kane a thumbs up. I'm quite sure that more people rely on critics than IMDB scores. In fact, I've been posting here since 2005 and have NEVER ONCE looked at the scores to make a decision on whether I watch a movie or not. I would suspect 10% or less know IMDB even exists and even less than that check the "scores" you speak of. 100% of people know critics exist and a very large percentage listen to their advice.

Does that work as an argument for you?

I suspect I'll never hear from you again on this subject.

it's really good. strong performance by Purefoy. I hope a sequel is made.

Maybe the rating is so low, because there was nothing really outstanding in this movie. The people, like me, who liked it, liked it because of the whole feel of the movie. The dark fantasy and the path of the struggling hero. If you're not into that, there's not much this movie can offer you, so the majority won't like it because it's just not their taste i guess.
