Surprisingly good
Im a Howard fan and while i spotted this film before it was even released, I hadnt given it a go until today, thinking it wouldnt likely be much. I was wrong. Ok its not gonna be mistaken for a great classic of the genre but its very solid. And the art direction is just amazing and spot on, especially for a lower budget film. There ARE some weaker script moments, but overall this is a strong showing and id reccomend this film to anyone that likes sword and sorcery type films. What annoys me is this is better than a lot of similarly themed films that have gotten much bigger releases in the last ten years. Like... Conan or Van Helsing. I thought this would be the same kind of crap. It really wasnt. It makes you wish that guy had written and directed COnan...
Also, i read they had planned a trilogy for this. Likely wont happen now and its a shame
