I'm glad to finally have this movie in my collection as I have been waiting a long time for it, but I am still pissed at how it was handled. If they were going to give it an unadvertised straight to dvd release, why didnt they just do that 3 years ago and stop sitting on it so long. They missed some good opportunities to release in conjunction with the Conan movie since they could have piggybacked that.

Beat me to the punch with your post. A pretty decent film.Hampered by it`s budget but I enjoyed it.Excellent cinematography,creature designs(Patrick Tatopolos) and EFX. Bonus features are also good.Well worth the price and then some.Comes wth a very nice slipcover.
shareI agree, with a bit more budget for a few of the digital effects it could have gone from really good to great. That said I was happy to pay for it and pleasantly surprised to not find a bare bones disc inside. Its a shame there was zero marketing whatsoever for the movie.

Anyway, I'm glad I was finally able to see this movie after knowing about it for so many years. It's no '82 Conan or Lord of the Rings, but it's still good as a simple dark fantasy action movie.
I found it at Wal-Mart today without actually looking for it. I was just looking over the DVDs, saw this and immediately snatched it up.
