Does this movie get better after the opening

I tried watching this on Netflix, I made it as far as Kane jumping out of the window. I guess it was the really sci fi channel level effects, I was just wondering if the movie is worth watching

I tried to watch it also and got as far asf the family that rescued him was attacked by demonic men. The story was so predictable, the acting was bad. Especially the guy playing Kane. No saving grace, typical English hogwart.
