Religion! Religion! Religion!

I'm not sure why I put that for the subject. It's funny really.

I did want to say that if God existed, this film wouldn't exist. Because of heresy. Or blasphemy. Or something. Jesus, I don't know. Something about God disliking stuff and all.

Anyway, do people still believe in God and vampires, angels, witches, and bigfoot, and all that? Or have we as a species finally grown up?

Fiction is nice, but not when people kill other people because they imagine fiction is real.

What a tolerant, panoramic worldview you have.

SHERLOCK HOLMES (2009) WAS A HORRIBLE MOVIE. ACCEPT IT.

Wow, with such a clear and erudite handling of millennia of religious debate and codifying, it's hard not to take you seriously.

Evolution does not work that way.

What a failed attempt at trolling. Try to at least be coherent next time. Someone might actually bite.

"We as a species" know relatively nothing when it comes to many things, including the universe and its origins.

Anyone that has "grown up" would know this already.

Try going outside, even walking beyond the boundaries of your trailer park. There is a whole big world out there, kid.

Origins of the universe? If it had a start what came before? All that is has to always have existed.

reply

Yes, that is a common belief.

The OP sounds so clever. He must have originated from a crust on Einstein's boxers or something. Please, tell us more how much more evolved you are from the rest of us.

Well, MOST modern members of our species have finally grown up enough to tolerate personal differences & accept that every person's personal beliefs are exactly the same.

But unfortunately, "MOST" is not "ALL". There are a small percentage of our species, noticably smaller & smaller as we progress & evolve, who still cling to decades-out-of-date ideas of discrimination, prejudice, bigotry, hatred, & immaturity. They direct these traits at others who don't think and/or live exactly like the guilty party does.

It's similar to the attitude & treatment given to people of color in the 50's, compared to current time. That group has gained MASSIVE amounts of respect & oppurtunity in the last 30-40 years or so. Look at the U.S. President.

But just as there are STILL people who use the "N" word & really MEAN it, there are also people who still preach hatred towards personal attributes NOT related to skin color, such as personal choices of religion.

But no need to get all upset at them. Those who believe African-Americans should be slaves and/or sit at the back of the bus are a dieing breed, just as are those who think gays should be "cured" & that women are only baby-factories who should stay in the house their whole life. So this shows us that those who discriminate are dieing off (or learning how to be better people) faster than new haters are joining the Bigot-Club.

But as said above, there's still some of those relics out there. Maybe you actually know one yourself?

P.S. Original (first) post flagged as hate-speech. You're welcome, thanks not necessary.

I don't think it matters if "people STILL believe"... this film is set in the 1600s. Look up stuff like "The Crusades" & "The Inquisition" in Wikipedia -- you'll see what role religion played in the life of people BACK THEN...
