Klaatu is a hypocrite when he happily munch on that TUNA SANDWICH

Seriously, when he is talking about how human destroy this planet, he himself is part of the problem by eating that tuna sandwich at the train station.

He thought it is artificial meat. He did not know it came from the real Tuna.

Agreed. He's carrying out action research on the job.🐭

Yes. The huge amount of harvesting in today's ocean is destroying the aquatic biome. In turn, about 3/4 (75%) of the South American rainforests have already been destroyed. They are the source of most of our atmosphere's oxygen (they're sometimes referred to as the world's "lungs").

I am talking about Klaatu eating one sandwich.

Countries like Turkey, China and Japan over-fishing illegally leading to extinction of fishes isn't the same thing as one guy eating a sandwich.

That's a statement very reminiscent of narrow mindedness.

There were once narrow minded people who might excuse lynching in much the same way; "it's only one "n" person. There are hundreds of them." I guess if you can think that way, it makes it ok. Tuna aren't people after all.

See, there is a good reason why nobody gives a flying *beep* about these issues, especially when it's the westerners whining about them.

You people have destroyed environment, used resources like coal to power your economies and now sit around preaching the world to not use resources best reserved for your rich elites.

There is a good reason why people tell hippies to go *beep* themselves.

Also, there are other fishes in the sea. Nobody cares if Tuna goes extinct like Dodo. Maybe they can eat more Whale meat then. :))

So instead of arguing the point, you capitulate - then whine to me that this is somehow my fault you can't figure your own way out of the box? Interestingly weak way to respond. I guess it's time to admit when you're stuck.

Maybe the reason you can't figure your way out of your box is that your position is base on fallacy.

You do realize that the problem isn't necessarily the use of such resources. It's the scale in which it is used.

During America's industrial revolution, there were approximately 75 million people in the US. The repercussions of such actions were almost completely unknown. Before that, the world's resources were thought to be pretty much infinite.

They learned their lesson (for the most part) and have been working pretty hard to clean up the damage from it.

The preaching comes from telling countries who are trying to do the exact same things, but with populations of over a billion. Think about how hard THAT mess is going to be to clean up, if it ever can, and if it doesn't completely deplete massive amounts of resources first that can never be restored.

That's also a pretty ridiculous assumption that nobody cares if tuna goes extinct.

Eating a tuna sandwich is the moral equivalent of lynching a Black person? Is this really what you are trying to say?

Just curious, but are you a vegan? That is about the only way I can make sense of your statement. If you are, that's fine; I'm not, but tuna are not people. They are a source of food.

I thought he didn't know what he was eating and he got sick from it
