So, ancient old wizards can control mass on particle level, can bend time and space, yet they need pimped out rides to escape from each other?

Wizards use theatricality and self-suggestion in order to invoke the change in their surroundings. like using "The Force" requires a moving of one's hand in order to simulate to one's self the remote action.

so the power of a wizard is limited to his own imagination
