i mean it doesn't really add much to the over all other story does it? They should just of had the moive kick off when blake meets up with dave.

It explains why Horvath was in the outermost layer of the Grimhold, even though he was around at the same time as Morgana, in the innermost layer, with hundreds of years represented in between. It also explains why Merlin himself didn't kill Morgana.

not that, the bits in 2000, having blake and other guy trap for I0 years in a jar seem pointless,
