Disney isn't known for "sexing up" its movies. It's supposed to be family-friendly. That's what people expect, and most of us don't have a problem with that policy.
That said, I would have liked to see Veronica get a little more story time, too. Oh well. If we're fortunate enough to get a sequel, maybe she'll play a more active role.
