Didn't rate this movie much, but the reason I'd give it 5/10 rather than the 3/10 it probably deserves is I liked the conjoining of magic and physics to create sorcery; it's actually something I wish more fantasy movies/ games/ novels would do. I love fantasy and magic, but bloody hate mysticism and hocus-pocus.
Glad you agree. That's why I hate True Blood's insistence that older Vampires equals stronger, physically. To me the 2nd law of Themrodynamics should still apply. So in my writer older Vampire are often smarter, and have greater occult knowledge and talents. but their physically weaker.

Not necessarily. Not by a long shot actually. I think you just made every physicist on the planet wince.
1. Who said no new energy is entering their systems? The decline is only if no new energy is introduced. That's right there IN the second rule.
2. The second rule of thermodynamics does not have anything to do with physical strength with aging or as humans develop we, ourselves, would be weaker the longer we are out of the womb. Yes, we do decline later in life but it's not a perpetual decline, we are strongest in the middle of our life spans.
3. Biological immortality has been confirmed as real with the discovery of the Turritopsis nutricula which can and does revert to it's larva stage once it has reached the end of it's cycle.
4. If something is truly eternal it will not deteriorate (weaken) over time. That's kind of the point.
Finally, I KNOW you have no interest in this movie. I asked you to stop stalking me several times now. It's not cute. It's not funny. And watching you beat REAL physics with a brick because you want to compare biological immortality to the laws of energy transference is impressively stupid. Especially since the second law of thermodynamics requires no new energy to be obtained. What do you think vampires gain when they feed? That's chemical energy right there.
Do you deliberately say things that you know to be stupid to try to drive me away from the IMDB or do you crave arguments so desperately that you grasp for anything?
I can already see your next move "If you're okay with that why do you want sorcerer magick to follow thermodynamics?" because they use actual kinetic energy to affect matter. If you look at a sorcerer as a living energy conductor it makes perfect sense. I'm in awe that you could actually compare that to a vampire and be STUPID enough to think YOU make sense in claiming an IMMORTAL HAS to be weaker as it gets older, ignoring the f--king word IMMORTAL!
When scientists have already determined that biological immortality does exist in this world and does not require chronic deterioration ...I can't comprehend how you could honesty think your argument makes sense. Go sit in the corner and think about how brutally you just spat on the rules of thermodynamics and science for your idiotic idea!
Now that I know it's based on a poem by Goethe I'm more interested then i used to be.
I can already see your next move
No you couldn't, that wasn't what I would have said at all.
The introduction of new Energy may slow the Decay or make it less constant, which is the basis for why the Vampire is feeding on Blood to begin with, but the Decay still happens.
