how can they go on top of that skyscraper that easily ?

Is it that easy to go on top of a skyscraper ? no security, just use the elevator at night, is that allowed ??

I guess it is the Chrysler building in the scene when she follows Baruchel after seeing him at the coffee shop. And later she goes on top of one to disrupt the signal.

Besides that, I like it and give it an 8/10.

Good question. Yeah, it's something of a mystery. All the magic -- violating just about every law of physics -- makes about perfect sense. But that skyscraper...

It's called internal logic genius... just because magic exists in this world doesn't mean there wouldn't be security preventing people from going to the top of a skyscraper... magic may explain how Dave got past security but not Becky.

You know what? Fair enough. But the answer lies in your response. I'm sure master wizard Nicolas Cage could have cooked up a magic object that gets her past a locked door. The reason it's not mentioned is because in this world it's so utterly banal.

My favorite locked-door plot-hole is in THE ROCK. Connery impossibly rolls past flames, disappears for a tense moment, and then pushes open a door: "Welcome to The Rock." Question is... why didn't he use the door when he first escaped? The answer is not "because, uh, there was a guard!" or "it was locked" or "it hadn't been built yet." The answer is: because it's awesome.
