shareNot necessarily. I highly doubt that the language was the same in 740 A.D. as it was in 2010. I'm not even sure that what we know as Old English was the same. Veronica, at any rate, was Italian, so her accent would still be different.

As the other guy said, the language was very different back in the day anyway... and it isn't a documentary so, you know, it really does not need to be factually accurate.
Also, Balthazar probably adjusted his accent to the times so as to fit in.
