Read a way different and better script for this way back in 2001. it followed the short story way closer. The pacing was better and the dialogue was much better. THE SHOOTING SCRIPT FOR THIS MOVIE WAS TOTAL CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, how much more faithful to the original story could you get than this adaptation? I've read the story too. Seriously. Gangster blows up teacher's wife - teacher plots revenge - teacher buries gangster alive in Cadillac. Period.
