Why do people dislike this movie?!
I loooove this movie! Seen it like a hundred times!! Goes straight into the top ten movies of all time, that I've seen!( right up there with shawshank redemption and...other good movies)

shareI love this movie too. The other of my favourite comedy is The Other Guys.
I haven't laughed so hard for ages.
I guess people are so easily offended, which isn't surprising these days. *sigh*
Because it's not funny at all.
I could watch really stupid movies. I LOVE "The Other Guys" And "Hot Rod". But this was just not funny at all. I couldn't find any part where i laughed.
Personally, i think Adam Sandler needs to retire. He's just not funny to me anymore.
My best friend on the other hand agrees with you. She came to me one day all excited about watching it and thinking it was hilarious.
I almost walked away from her.
movie was hilarious, i saw it several times.. it is political satire about how pointless the was in Palesetine/Isreal is. Whats so hard to understand there?

I think it just didn't fit with the popular comedy of the time. This movie was slapstick, and slapstick comedies didn't fare well in that decade. The comedies that DID fare well were about painful situations and people getting kicked in the crotch.
shareIt has nothing to do with it being slapstick (which is debatable), its because Sandlers crew have been churning out the same crud movies since Waterboy.
Some people like it, some people loved Scary Movie. It has little to do with their intelligence or anything like that. It's just the way it is, some people are easily entertained.
Good question. I REALLY dislike most Adam Sandler movies, but this one was pretty damn funny - imho. I guess it comes down to expectations, what tickles your funny bone and what doesn't. I was just grateful the poop/pee/fart jokes were kept to a minimum. The making boinky boink with older women jokes I could handle.

Because a whole lot of people have a taste in movies that differs from yours perhaps? It's not a bad movie, but top 10 of all time? LOLOLOL yeah.
shareIt's very far from being a masterpiece, but if you're into bathroom humor, juvenile humor, and all their stupid, childish, crude, crass relatives (which unfortunately, I am) it can be good for some harmless laughs.
I'm a woman in my 40s and was wiping my eyes laughing at the scene (set to the classic Adam Ant song, "Strip") where the experience of getting one's hair done becomes the, um, climax of the woman's day.
I, too, love getting my hair done and can easily see the humor in Zohan's transforming all things in the women's salon visits into something orgasmic. "Make my day...make my day." I used to do aerobics to that 1990 (91?) classic dance tune. Great use of it for another few hair orgasmic scenes.
I have a straight, female hairdresser who does a fabulous (nonsexual) job on keeping my hair looking great. But if I could sit in her chair for an extra 10 minutes while she re-blowdries my long hair -- I'd have an extra 10 minutes of sensual - nonsexual - heaven that day. Senses: relating to the senses. I love a good back massage and I love a great hair appointment ;-)
My girlfriends understand this. Maybe one needs to have an extra sensitive scalp to understand how great it is to get one's hair done?
Some seriously funny stuff in that regard. Great accent, Zohan. And awesome hair , too :-D
Is that bad sarcasm or is this coming from the funniest seventh grader in the room? This film is incredibly boring and this is supposed to be a COMEDY. Just...wow. I've never walked out of a movie before but this was my first.
"So now I guess she's on crack."
