Just like I am tired of seeing highly overrated movies at the top of the ratings in the IMDb, I am also starting to get tired of seeing really good, entertaining movies like this get really low scores. This movie deserves at least a solid 8. I personally gave it a 10!
sharei agree. It is what 'Saw' and 'Silence of the Lambs' should have been.
The killer here doesn't have "super powers" like those caricatures you see in other movies. He plans ahead, and gets away with a lot, but what drives the beavis and buttheads against this film is its reality.
By Reality, I mean what hppens when the killer is "in the field". The beavis type fans that fill up imdb ratings truly think you can just "wish" something to happen, that you can plan to trap and kill anywhere from 6-12 people, and magically kill them with push button simplicity.
Here, the killer made his plans, and did quite well, but the reality is that there is "the unexpected". If you don't have the "unexpected", you have a contrived, goofy looking movie. Nothing against Saw and Silence, but the killers in those are comic book cardboard cutouts.
