My brother watched this with my mum
And turned it off in the you know what scene
shareWell, a little boy his age shouldn't be watching this.
Let's be bad guys.
Why not? It's completely natural for kids to watch it, and won't do anything negative to them. Thinking there's something wrong with it, will turn it into a taboo, which isn't good.
Only bad thing, is that if watching it with parents present, it will be awkward.
If you're awkward around your parents, you're not ready for the subject matter.
You are sin.
This logic sucks. Even today, in my late twenties, it is awkward for me to hear a sexual innuendo, not to say see a scene, when I'm around my parents, and they're no prudes (rather I am, I guess). Being ready has nothing to do with that. Especially since sex is not the main "subject matter" in this film (truth in art is, IMO). We watched it together some five years ago and I loved it, despite the awkwardness.
The question is why the hell there has to be some amount of innuendo in virtually every "serious" piece of art? This makes the whole life awkward...
Good that I just discovered the "parents guide" section on this site. Shall consult it beforehand every time in the future.
I almost watched it with my mom
glad I decided to watch it later
(also cause now I'm older and understand more and much more likely to enjoy this)
read the movie's description and decided to watch this with my sister instead of The Pianist... huge mistake
shareI think the pianist wouldn't have been a very family friendly movie either.
shareWell, I don't think the pianist had Natalie Portman masturbating in front of her sleeping mother or Portman fυcking Mila Kunis in her dreams. Both scenes enjoyable, but when alone or with anyone else but your family.
