A couple of Season 8 predictions

These are a few predictable guesses:

* Arya will kill Gendry - maybe Sansa will make a claim for the Iron Throne? Anyway, Gendry, as Robert’s bastard, will have to be killed off to avoid any more civil war.

* Beric will be killed by the Night’s King and The Hound will be revealed as the chosen one of the Lord of Light. He’ll use his powers to ignite Beric’s sword.

* The Onion Knight will kill the Red Lady after she finds out her life mission has been completed with the Hound.

* The Night’s King will use his powers to either control or possess the Mountain. Then we’ll get the Mountain vs Hound duel.

* Bronn and Jaimie will kill each other.

* Jon, Greyworm, Missandei, Jorah, Theon, Bran, Cercei and her gang, etc will all die.

* Tyrion will inherit Bran’s Three-Eyed Raven abilities

* The leadership of Westeros will be held by Dany, with Sansa (her Hand), Brienne (head of Kingsguard) and Arya taking over the spymaster role.
* Beric will be killed by the Night’s King and The Hound will be revealed as the chosen one of the Lord of Light. He’ll use his powers to ignite Beric’s sword.
Agreed. I like it.
* The Onion Knight will kill the Red Lady after she finds out her life mission has been completed with the Hound.
Sounds okay to me.
* The Night’s King will use his powers to either control or possess the Mountain. Then we’ll get the Mountain vs Hound duel.
Interesting. Isn't the Mountain already somewhat similar to a wight? So he'll become a double wight?
* Bronn and Jaimie will kill each other.
What for?
* Jon, Greyworm, Missandei, Jorah, Theon, Bran, Cercei and her gang, etc will all die.
Why/how do you think Jon, Jorah, Theon and Bran will die?
* Tyrion will inherit Bran’s Three-Eyed Raven abilities
Interesting. Maybe that off screen conversation they had was foreshadowing.

That sounds pretty cool. Not so sure about the first 2, but I totally agree with brienne, and Arya. I hadn't thought of Arya taking over the spymaster role. That's brilliant. I've been wondering for a while what purpose Arya even serves on the show any more now that she avenged the Red Wedding and killed Littlefinger. Maybe it's for that. I like it.

The only ones I like are the ones about Beric and The Hound and Davos and The Red Woman. The last one sounds extremely "Woke" and unfortunately could or will probably happen... Either that or Missandei and Greyworm will survive, destroy the Iron Throne and organize a Socialist Collective of survivors.

reply

lolz. That Woke outcome sounds horrendous. If GRRM goes there I predict rioting, or at least DoS attacks on hbo.com

reply

Wait, what? Which part is horrendous? Dany as Queen and Sansa as her hand? I don't care for that part, nor does it seem like that will happen.

Brienne as Commander of the Kingsguard and Arya as the Spymaster I can see happening though.

reply

The dystopian matriarchy sounds horrendous.

reply

"Woke"? What the hell does that mean?

reply

Woke - The act of being very pretentious about how much you care about a social issue

Re: Gendry, he already joined the Brotherhood Without Banners and has a strong dislike for the monarchy. I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to use his claim on the Iron Throne to take it for the common people.

Then again, he might just get used as a magical blood bag by Missandre again.

Re: The Mountain, I get a Frankenstein’s monster vibe. He’s like a crude version of Jon Snow, but susceptible to commands.

Re: Bronn and Jaimie ... protecting Tyrion? Despite Jaimie’s disability, he’s probably the only person who knows Bronn’s moves and weaknesses, having been re-trained by him while also being an expert fighter himself.

Re: Arya, I can totally imagine her leading the child spies / assassins of King’s Landing. She has the perfect skill set.

No way this is happening... Gendry has no interest in The Iron Throne and why would Arya kill him??? He might die but not because of the reason you stated and not by Arya...

reply

Arya has only one reason to kill Gendry and that's because of how deeply disappointed she was.
