I understand now how the world of Westeros never evolved technology beyond crossbows. Those ravens are able to work almost fast enough for real-time chats! And who knew dragons could fly 100's of miles per hour!

Ravens are smart and very resourceful. They could have developed radio technology while the humans were too busy killing each other to notice.
