Are we ever gonna see this epic showdown at some point before the show ends you think?

shareI hope so, i just pray to god The Hound comes out on top, it would crush me to see The Mountain kill him. I think The Hound really is the only one who should finally take down The Mountain.
shareHmm.. my prediction would be that The Mountain kills The Hound. Then Arya kills The Mountain. But we'll see. It's fun to make speculations 😀
shareChances are we'll be all set up for it, and then *wham* one of them dies before the epic encounter can begin. It's just how the unpredictable nature of the series & books would do it, I believe. Sort of like Arya finally being reunited with Robb & Catelyn, and then *wham* nope that's not happening.
shareMuch of the luster of this long anticipated showdown has been lost (in the show at least) IMO since
#1 The Hound already got destroyed by freaking Brienne, significantly diminishing his baddass-ery.
#2 The Mountain is Frankenstein like Zombie who can't even talk so it takes away from the personal animosity/rivalry between the two.
Hey, the Mountain has already died once, and the Hound is hanging out with a Resurrection Man! Even if one of them dies, I think we'll still get our big fight.
My guess is that they'll kill each other.
