They had a spiritual connection and he was extremely attracted to her. She wasn't really frigid, she was just difficult.

reply

He lied to her. Forced himself into her apartment, asked her out again and again when she said no. Watched her outside her apartment.. She wasn't frigid. She wasn't difficult. He's a creeper and a stalker.

reply

I just meant she was troubled, because of what her dad did, but Ritter's character saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I think if Ritter's character had been a different type of guy (older, lonelier etc) it could have seemed creepy/stalkerish but it was pretty well established that he was a normal young guy.

Exactly what scene established that he was a normal young guy, I think I missed it. Yes, he was likable, but ok not really, he was persistent, he stalked her, he wouldn't take no for an answer. His character actually had to prove himself and overcome a lot of negative traits.

If you love Cheezits and are 100% proud of it make this your signature!

they had a spiritual connection? *beep* off with your spirits.

As the character said , it's biology.

Regarding his patience, I think he was a bit damaged in his own way, that's why he was able to endure everything and why he was so interested in her.

reply

I knew someone would jump on that. I just meant they had a connection that was intense, something beyond the surface. I wasn't talking about religion.

reply

You have to be careful with ur wording then. From the fact that something is intense or even inexplicable for that matter, does not follow that the answer or explanation is supernatural and btw, spiritualism and religion are different things. They're both bs though

reply

^Probably meant spiritual as in something that goes beyond logic?
Why make drama about wording..

I think I understand his character. The way I see is that he probably felt like others didn't understand him and when he met her, he felt that she could. That's why he pursued her the way he did.
Ofcourse biology kicked in later.
