I was trying to think of other movies like this one, that aren't (primarily) younger woman/ older man movies. Another movie where a broken person is pursued, and healed by their romantic partner.

Yes, I thought the lack of dialog was powerful there, leaving their comments up to the imagination. We can assume what we want, without the characters indicting themselves. I assume they set up a meeting, but other think he simply spoke words of encouragement. Powerful movie. Excellent chemistry between the leads.
If you watch the extras of the movie, and you see how this was all a fantasy of Sophia Coppola and her infatuation with Bill Murray. It's interesting (and makes sense) that such a touching movie would be a product of a real-life crush of Coppola's.
