'The Cops Don't Give a *beep*

I don't think anything necessarily happened between her and the cops. Her father is obviously a very rich and powerful man, which means he could likely be very influential as well and have ties to many powerful people. He seems like the kind of guy who uses his money and power to get anything and get away with anything he wants.

My guess is that he has enough influence to cause the police to turn a blind eye and/or discredit anything his daughter says about him...

I saw Inception... or at least I dreamt I did.

Being old.. and basically living off him. They prob would think she is lying to get back at him for something... "Like taking $ away or the apt..ect"


The one thing the movie never did was go through what happened to her..? I all saw was obvious hatred toward the dad.. and some pedo-porn from her laptop.

It could be the fact that she's now an adult, and to go to the cops about it now would possibly not get anything done.

I'm assuming that he would say things like that basically to threaten her. Obviously she had been told this and he was saying it on the assumption she would have no choice but to believe it, he had probably done it her whole life.

They didn't go into detail (good) but if we assume childhood sexual abuse from him, then the other reason the police might not be interested would be due to statute of limitations. Although I don't know about California in particular - I know in some places it no longer exists for child sexual offences but I don't think that's true of California.
