Is there really going to be a sequel?

So I was looking at the wikipedia page for Holiday in Handcuffs, and it says:

"A Sequel was announced on 18 June, 2008. No further details have since been given except that it would begin production in Summer 2009 with both Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez with Josie Bissett and Molly Ringwald (Stars of The Secret Life of the American Teenager)."

But I noticed that there was no source given to back up this information and I googled it and even looked at the ABC Family press releases from that time period and found nothing. So does anyone know if there's any truth to this or if it is just a rumor posted on wikipedia?

I would love to see a sequel to this flick, its pretty funny to watch.

I hope that it's true!!! This movie is great, & it deserves a sequel.
I love the cast too, it's just perfect. Hopefully the second part will
be good too. Let's hope.

I'm trying to figure that out as well. Perhaps they will kidnap a kid and the parent of that kid will give up the kid to them for adoption?
