Stupid movie. How the *beep* do you fall in love willing to kill you? It wouldn't make sense if she killed him anyway. If she shot him she'd not only be guilty of murder, but she'd also have to find ANOTHER victim making his death pointless.

First of all, I’m assuming that you meant how could David fall in love with someone willing to kill him. That is the point of their interaction throughout the entire movie. Did you miss it?

If you meant how could Trudie fall in love with someone she was willing to kill, you missed the point of the scene where David wakes up to find himself tied to the rear view mirror of some blonde ditz’s car.

The gun Trudy flourished was a display gun which she probably believed was not loaded—assuming it was even real, and not a replica. She used the gun as a threat, with no intention of firing it. However, it was loaded and it went off accidentally.

In movie parlance this is known as the “meet cute.”
