similar movies?

Hi, Im looking for a specific movie that is very similar to Taken; ive been hunting around google without success. I already saw "3 Days To Kill" but that is not the one.
The one I wanted to find I really thought it was with Liam Neeson but I cant find it in his film list, maybe my memory is wrong. However whoever it is, this guy and his daughter go to live to Europe, I believe France or could be Germany, and they are from USA. He got a contract with a company to develop a particular security lock system but when goes to collect his paycheck there is nobody in the office which has been emptied. So it looks like the company was fake and they just wanted him to disclose the lock system. Then they tried to kill them. Does anybody know this movie?
