I don't even know if the term "organic" for food even existed in 1987 of which this film takes place nor the knowledge that McDonald's and fast food in general was not very healthy... Very unrealistic *beep* scene that did not fit at all.

shareLets not kid ourselves here. Organic, when applied to food, was probably an everyday term in the classroom of say Cornell University back in 1987 but not within the general public of say a common hospital in NYC.

shareWell, the word didn't exist back then in the country I live in. It was called biological food and only few people cared about it, only people with an alternative lifestyle would buy it.

It's only now that hospitals across the country are quickly getting rid of their fast food restaurants--which used to be common place. The girls in the movie (set in the 1980's)expect it will be in the hospital--because this is the society they have grown up in.
