1. Why didn't they just use drugs?

Even getting him drunk might have gotten him to spill the beans.

2. I don't agree with the way H suddenly killed his wife but.... he could have at least threatened the kids in front of Yusuf. I know he did initially but Agent Brody intervened. H was right about one thing ... Yusuf just had to believe that H was capable of harming his kids.

I don't agree with torture but given everything else that had happened just a simple threat was the only chance they had left.

I don't believe that Agent Brody herself wouldn't have thought of it.

It might have worked.

There were too much hassle and contradiction between the law enforcement. If they had pulled together better Yusuf might have actually given in... but now they just "lost the game" because of petty quarrels but that would have been another movie then again. As in this form it stirred the issues and themes it was supposed to portray...

i hope they will use you when they torture me, but i guess you'll use cheap wine. the so called terrorist obviously know that america kill women and children all the time, last year america killed several civilians including children in syria and they did the same this year. so it really make no sense that he would consider killing his children unthinkable, and he should know that most of the american people are as criminal as their government, after all they elect them.
