[spoiler] 4th [spoiler] bomb was stupid

why would the 4th bomb be in the same building?

FBI would have swept that whole damn building and not just stop once they find one.

reply

They didn't really have time to sweep the entire building, the bomb was going to explode in 12 seconds.

Well yea, which is my point...just a weak, cliche' ending with the bomb about to go off in seconds....like in a James Bond movie.

But if someone went through all of this trouble with a 4th bomb, they wouldn't put 2 eggs in 1 basket like this. Because the FBI is not going to stop searching once they find a bomb....they'd continue to tear the whole building apart. What if the Terrorist broke down a day before rather than this few hours?

Middle Eastern Dictators with tens of billions of dollars at their disposal, have been unsuccessful for 20-30 years now in acquiring nuclear grade uranium....yet this guy has enough for 4 bombs in his back pocket....yet he casually puts 2 in one building....after planning such an elaborate suicide mission?

1) Having a second bomb in the same location was smart on Younger's part, because the FBI was so sure they would be spread out in different locations. Just as it didn't occur to them there even *was* a fourth bomb, it wouldn't have occurred to them to look for a second bomb in one of the three locations he gave them until it was far too late.

2) They wouldn't have known there even might be a fourth bomb if it hadn't been for "H", Samuel L. Jackson's character. The entire point of Younger's submitting himself to their torture was to make them think they'd forced the information out of him, and so would assume that what they'd "forced" him to tell them was the truth. Just as he knew he wasn't getting out of it alive, since if he hadn't shot himself the fourth bomb would have taken him out when it took out the others.

What if the Terrorist broke down a day before rather than this few hours?

3) That wasn't going to happen. As Younger said, he was prepared. Just as his fake breakdown set them up to actually become the trigger that set off the shopping-mall bomb, it also eased his own anguish and, as he said, made him sure he could now last until the end. What he was referring to was either his own death at their hands or the detonation of the undiscovered bomb, since he knew they would never let him go.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
