Red dwarf story in a pub

Havent seen the movie, hope it comes to some festival or even the cinema. But it seems like a red dwarf type material, not that thats bad, of course..

I see what you mean though, bout it being Red Dwarf-esque. That laddish scifi kinda thing. And with Chris O Dowd. AND Shakespeare from Dr Who lol. Great ep that was. Can take or leave Anna Faris frankly lol, the Scary Movies shall forever remain a stain on her shirt of movies(lol).

Actually, watching this (while I was massively LOL'ing), did kinda put me in mind of Red Dwarf season 2 ep "Stasis Leak", (I think it was that one) which ended with several copies of Lister, Rimmer and the Cat all in one room together; Rimmer and Lister from before the radiation leak, all three from the future, and all three again from even further in the future.

That is what it totally reminded me of as well. The minute I saw all the characters bumping into each other (well not actually, but you know what I mean) I was totally thinking, "this is like Red Dwarf." But it was brilliant, because I loved this film and I LOVE Red Dwarf.

It could be, but these characters aren't quite as stupid as the Red Dwarf characters. I mean I love Red Dwarf and all, but they are all incredibly thick.

There was actually a Red Dwar episode in a pub or similar and funnily enough in it they were back on Earth in the future/past when Earth was rewinding itself. The episode was called Backwards and people were drinking or eating etc. but in reverse (yuck).

In this film when time is correcting itself and rewinding and you see one of them downing a pint but in reverse it reminded me of that Red Dwarf episode. What with all the subtle references to science-fiction in this film (like the Back to the Future references etc.) maybe it was intentional.

there was the ohm thing in the pub...with lister and his old band...and the ohm song...

and there was the several coppies of them all running around thing too...

i think its deffo reddwarfesq...but in an homage sort of way...rather than a p-take...:)

although this film is just a fantastically good sci-fi/sy-fy/SF one...so it could just be that its that darn good its like em all...:)
