Wasn't that the Pub from Shaun of the Dead...?

Probably way behind the times with this one but saw this great little sci-fi movie last night and really enjoyed it.

I'm sure that the pub they were in was the one from Shaun of the Dead.

I can see why you'd think that, as it was my initial reaction too. They are both 3 storey stand-alone buildings located on the corner of a junction.

However The Winchester from Shaun Of The Dead, is the Duke of Albany in New Cross.

The pub in FAQATT is called The White Horse and the end credits thank The Wheatsheaf.
I still have the movie recorded from last night and there are definitely differences between the two, when I compare "The White Horse" against the link above.

Unfortunately "the Winchester" has been convered into flats :-(

If anyone knows where the pub in this film is though I'd love to know !

edit: spelling

According to the writer Jamie Mathieson, the pub is the Talbot in Mill Hill W3 for the outside scenes.

That's almost exactly what happened when Simon Pegg made the new one, The World's End.
It's very similar to FAQ, but with alien pod people instead of time travel. Same likable lead characters just trying to have a drink when they get in way over their heads.

Speaking of World's End, toward the end of the movie, the geeks are headed to a pub called "Kings Head"...coulda SWORE that was one of the pub stops during the pub crawl.
