Are there any similar movies?
Shawn of the Dead was good, but it didn't include time travel.
So movies that include time travel and that are really funny. But not movies that are totally ridiculous and don't make sense (so that would rule out movies like Bill & Ted).
I haven't been able to see this yet and I really don't like spoilers so I'm going to try avoiding anything like that. However it sounds like you might wanna check out Safety Not Guaranteed.

I just watched "Safety Not Guaranteed" and I quite enjoyed it, although it is a little like FAQ About Time Travel - but "Safety Not Guaranteed" is more of a romantic comedy than a time travel movie - but still, I really liked it.
Try John Dies at the End.

Stalled (2013) has a really similar feel as this movie does, but is about zombies, not timetravel.
