So this movie is basically about a doppelganger who forgets she is a doppelganger and sees the actual woman version of her and gets freaked out throughout the movie? Until the end when she realizes who she is and that she already killed herself but forget all this because of the accident?

If that's the case, then what the hell does a doppelganger do next?

This film is a metaphor for what sometimes happens to trauma victims who aren't aware of the costs of not processing... The doppleganger (psychopathy/sociopathy) just keeps on living.

what do you mean not processing? not processing what?

Not processing/metabolizing/dealing with the traumatic history. Just ignoring it or going through the motions of everyday life as though nothing ever happened.
